Our Team
At CMC Mechanical, we believe a company is only as strong as the people behind it. Our team is being built on integrity, technical expertise, and a shared commitment to doing the job right the first time.
We believe every technician, manager, and support staff member will play a vital role in delivering the responsive, reliable service our clients count on. We take pride in being approachable, experienced, and easy to work with — no egos, no shortcuts, just solid work done by professionals who care.
Meet the Owner:
Caleb Candanoza, founder and owner of CMC Mechanical, brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in the commercial HVAC industry. From his early days as a technician to managing large-scale service operations, Caleb’s entire career has been built around delivering dependable, code-compliant solutions to clients who expect quality work.
Caleb’s technical foundation was built at The Refrigeration School, Inc. in Phoenix, where he completed an intensive program in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Electro-Mechanical Technologies. His education included electrical principles, advanced troubleshooting, and both residential and commercial HVAC applications. Over the years, he has expanded his expertise through numerous advanced certifications from leading manufacturers and industry platforms — including Liebert ICOM Controls, Daikin VRV and Screw Chiller Systems, Carrier Advanced Controls, Hitachi VRF, and KKT Chillers. Caleb is also certified in ABB VFD systems, holds an OSHA 10 credential, is EPA Universal Certified, and completed R-410A Safety Training. He earned his Idaho HVAC Journeyman License in 2016, and continues to pursue advanced training to stay current with modern systems and evolving building technologies.
After graduating from The Refrigeration School, Inc. in Phoenix — one of the nation’s top technical training programs — Caleb began his career in the Seattle metro area. Over the next decade, he honed his skills across a wide range of commercial HVAC systems and earned his Journeyman License in Washington State. In 2014, Caleb relocated to Idaho, where he continued building his expertise in service and troubleshooting. He went on to work extensively in the field, specializing in RTUs, VRFs, boilers, chillers, and building automation systems.
Before launching CMC Mechanical, Caleb served as Service Manager for a major Idaho HVAC contractor, where he helped lead service dispatch operations, assisted in developing technicians, and built long-term client relationships in the commercial sector. His experience managing teams, overseeing compliance, and balancing efficiency with customer care helped shape the values and structure of CMC Mechanical today.
Caleb started CMC Mechanical to build something different — a company that doesn’t chase shortcuts or make excuses, but instead delivers honest, high-performance HVAC service backed by knowledge, integrity, and pride in the work.
When he’s not out on job sites or meeting with clients, Caleb enjoys time with his wife and three children, staying active in his faith, and investing in his local community. He’s passionate about creating skilled jobs, mentoring young tradespeople, and setting a new standard for commercial HVAC in Idaho.
